Saddest moment for James Bond fans but all good things must eventually come to an end. In the movie "No Time to Die" M reads a passage in a book solemnly as a befitting eulogy for the fallen agent and I quote;
"The proper function of man is to live, not to exist.
I shall not waste my days trying to prolong them.
I shall use my time."
This eulogy was actually only a portion of a much longer paragraph taken from the book by the famous American author, Jack London titled "Burning Daylight" which reads;
“I would rather be ashes than dust!
I would rather that my spark should burn out in a brilliant blaze than it should be stifled by dry-rot.
I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet.
The function of man is to live, not to exist.
I shall not waste my days trying to prolong them.
I shall use my time.”
