Hi guys,

I started this thread to help everyone wanting a new computer. All you need to do is post the following:
Code:
budget:
usage:

other miscellaneous requirements:

*If to be used for gaming,. please indicate the games you wish to play.

The prices i will be using are those that come from major shops in gilmore and also PCexpress and others... The prices will only reflect that of which on the date of my post.

also please put your requests in this format:

Processor:
Motherboard:
RAM:

Video Card:

Hard Drive:
Optical Drive:

Power Supply:
Casing:

monitor:

Accessories:

please indicate (at least)the size of the hard disk desired, and also what you need/have/prefer.

Thanks.

How to get to Gilmore:
commuting... From EDSA get on the MRT to Cubao and take the other train and get off at Gilmore station. so easy.
driving... Via aurora is the easiest way from EDSA. anyway, just ask na lang cos i dunno where you'll be coming from.

An example post would be as follows:
Hi. Please help me buy a computer for my son. He will be using it mainly for school and some games. He likes to play Dota and L4D. Our budget for the PC would be 20K. We already have a printer, monitor and speakers. Our monitor is a 17" CRT monitor. My son said he prefers 1gb video card.

Thank you.

Hello po, magbibuild sana ako ng Budget PC for Design at pwd na din pang Games kaso hindi ko alam san magsimula (since bago lang mag magbuild )

budget:25K

RAM: 4GB or 8GB

Video Card: kahit wala muna dahil may built-in GPU ung Processor

Hard Drive: 1TB
Optical Drive: kahit wag muna nito

Power Supply: 500watts?? (not sure ako dito)
Casing: Omega Aqua

monitor: if meron pong kakasya sa budget, suggest po ng good monitor

Accessories:

I can spend up to 40k. Or 50k kung kelangan. Planning to play PUBG, Dota 2, CS Go. The rest of the parts, patulong po. Kung AMD kaya ko ng konti mag-build. Hindi ko kasi alam kapag Intel na. Ngayon ko palang ita-try si Intel. Many thanks po in advance sa mga masters dito.

Try mo etong Full HD o 1080P Rig (1920x1080 resolution) :beat:
Ryzen
2ltkak8.png

Intel
29xexqa.png

Note:
1) Wala pa yang casing, periperals (monitor, keyboard, mouse).

Freesync is for AMD GPU and G-Sync is for NVIDIA GPU.

Tsaka yung thermal paste ba like DeepCool Z3 High Performance Thermal Paste pwede gamitin for CPU and GPU?

:thanks:

Conclusion:

See: https://www.geforce.com/hardware/technology/g-sync/supported-gpus

1070 gamit ko and i can say nakukulangan ako. i got an average of 120-140 fps mix of ultra high and low sa pubg minsan bumabagsak sa 80fps. sa gsync/freesync yeah you can use any gpu that is supported with it but the question is kaya ba ng gpu mo na ipush yung fps up to at least 100+ fps?

@100 fps is overkill na sakin :beat:

Answer:

Conclusion:

o w8 9th release in ph.

1070 is already overkill given you're only playing on 1080p. Frame drops are expected when you play PUBG because that game is badly optimized up until now. I can even play Battlefield 1 on ultra settings with only 2X MSAA with 1060. Going with 1070 or 1070Ti is already entering the realm of 1440p gaming and is not really a "bang for the buck" when you are just going to play games in 1080p.

at least para sakin not really an overkill. target ko kasi 100-140 fps with 144hz monitor. maganda maglaro ng fps games sa mga high refresh rates monitors dahil malayong mas smooth saka mas mababa ang input delay kumpara sa 60hz monitor. 1070 with 1440p res will definitely drop the frame rate 80-40 fps.

CPU: ill go for Ryzen 2600x
2.) kung hindi mo balak mag-overclocking, go for Ryzen 5 2600.
3.) hintayin mo muna intel 9th gen.

HSF (kung cpu cooler):

Monitor: Dahil full hd yan (1080p)
1. Kung gusto mo makapaglaro ng latest games at 1080P, go for gtx 1050 - 1060.

Mobo:
Budget Performance:
H310 chipset for intel 1151 ex (ASUS EX-H310M-V3 DDR4 = P3,600.00) up to 32GB RAM (2x 16)
A320 chipset for AMD AM4 ex (Emaxx EMX-A320-Gaming = 2,980.00) up to 32GB RAM (2x 16)
Upgrading Performance
Conclusion:
2. Kung budget habol mo, go for H310.

RAM
Budget Tips :beat::
1. Bumili ka muna ng single dimm RAM with max GB (kung kaya ng 16GB best, kung 8GB ok lang din, wag lang 4GB) for Moore's law purposes.
2. Then kapag nagkapera ka ulet tsaka mo gawing dual channel.

Conclusion
1. check your psu wattage ex: http://www.coolermaster.com/power-supply-calculator/

cpu: 7th gen has been succeeded by 8th gen already and the performance is already way better for the price. wait for 9th gen which will come out within the month
mobo: as far as i know from news and leaks, except for the Z370 mobos, 300 series will support 9th gen cpu's out of the box. so, pwede ka na bumili ng B360 mobos in anticipation... but... still wait for reviews.

note: Check your PSU. medyo malakas ang 1070... you'll need a true (bronze or gold) rated psu. get at least a 500w up to 600w for better efficiancy. expected power load would be almost 400w.

cpu: 2600x if you're planning on streaming. based on reviews, mas smooth and consistent ang recorded fps ng mga ryzen cpu's due to the higher core count.
hsf: ryzen, ok lang stock. intel, basura... kelangan palitan. madali mag-thermal throttle ang intel at 100% cpu load.
gpu: i would guess na gtx1060 3gb to. kung makahanap ka ng 2nd hand na rx580 8gb, you can consider it.
mobo: for ryzen, look for b450 mobos. skip a320 as you can't overclock and very limited ang expansion like ram and no nvme m.2 slot.
ram: ok yan for ryzen. for intel, look for a cheaper ram kasi up to 2666mhz lang supported ng H310 at B360... unless you would go for z390, ok lang yan and i would even suggest faster ram to pair it with.
fans, i would suggest 2 intakes from the front and 1 exhaust to the back. bahala ka kung gusto mo lagyan ng rgb

edit: Thoughts and Impressions on intel 9th gen core CPU's
  • hyperthreading is now exclusive to Core i9 SKU's
  • all CPU's heat spreaders are now soldered (Soldered Thermal Interface Material) - which means we can expect better thermal conductivity with our 3rd party CPU coolers. stock cpu coolers are still cr@p
  • no need for de-lidding
  • I think wala na kwenta ang i7 9700k having only 8 cores and 8 threads. getting the 8700k would be a better bang for the buck and if you need more threads as it have 6c/12t
  • prices are really high
