facts: all levels passing rate is 80%
facts: around 15% nakakapasa sa exam (1,500/10,000 examinees)

just dont be intimidated... or burn yourself
if u feel unsure... take longer time to review.

tama po kayo sir isa po yan sa plano ko at pinaghahandaan ko may dalawang reviewer na po ako at kahit siguro sa mga words lalo na sa mga vocabulary my may mareview ako mabuti kapa sir sisiw ang exam sa iyo ako po need ko na talaga ng elegibility para makuwa ko na yun administrative aide sa DOLE BULACAN yun papasukan walang problema dahil pinupush na ako ng Director at assistant regional director ng dept.of labor dito sa RO3 sana makapasa na ako kahit clerk lang masaya na ako dahil matagal na ako utusan at utility, messenger dito hopely sa tinagal ko nag aral sana sa 15% ay masama ako sa papasa

you may borrow from someone you knew who has one or buy one from national bookstores specifically for "civil service review" ung yellow reviewer ni BUSTO (author) is also a good one to have...

sa reviewers na binasa ko, 10% lang ang familiar sa akin kasi mostly malalim na words na-experience ko both english or tagalog... about vocabulary, try to scan pages sa dictionary... pati mga synonyms at antonyms....

oo nga mga sir sa national bookstore madami ako nakita civil service iba't ibang edition may dalawa ako reviewer. Sir po sa tips hayaan nyo po dadalasan ko pag babasa ng mga words sa dictionary need ko na talaga makapasa dahil madami gusto mag apply sa naiwan position. Sir may tanung pa po ako may iba pa po bang? Paraan na exam. Para ma honor ito ng CS pero i know ang PRC ay tanggap ito sa elegibility may sinasabi kasi yung driver namin sa opis pasado daw siya ng Data Encoder Sa Tesda pwede honor ba? yun as elegibility sa government if mag aapply po siya parang tread test yata yun sa tesda sir

ibang paraan.. yes, meron kasing tinatawag na "computer-based examination system" iba ang price, sched nito... some type of computer laboratory ng CSC offices ito held... first-come-first-serve or limited slots sa i think twice a year lang ito...

yes this is honored as eligibility... plan kc ng CSC gawin computerized and exam but they cant do in a massive scale.. not all can go fast or know computers... kaya limited slots lang.

advantage - nito madali mo malalaman ang grades mo..
disadvantage - mostly peple get more pressured rather than pencil-and-paper test (PPT)

Data Encoder Sa Tesda pwede honor ba? yun as elegibility sa government if mag aapply po siya parang tread test yata yun sa tesda sir

i know this one. here's the story, TESDA requested to have an agreement with CSC to convert some of their TESDA exam as or equivalent to CSC Sub-Prof... sadly Data Encoder is a position that will require Sub-Prof eligibility. In short, denied... it didnt happen because CSC has greater standards for examanition. I read that in a CSC Resolution 2008.

BUT recently this year (Febraury 2010), CSC recognized the Data Encoder Eligibility as appropriate entry requirement for 36 IT positions sa government, in short pwede na po... if you passed this before pwede sila pa-convert up to December 2010

passed it last 2006. review ka na parang kukuha ka lang ng entrance exam. asteg.

@ onecruz sir ibig sabihin mas honor talaga ang cs elegibility maliban sa prc yun pinaka matibay na pang papasok sa government salamat po sana makaya ko ito at mapasa ko ang exam mahirap din po kasi yung position ko na janitor agency at halos lahat naman alam ko na work na ginagawa ng administrative aide position sa DOLE kayo po sir san mo po plano pumasok sa ahensya ng gobyerno lalo na at cs professional license ka po

ayaw muna ba? Itry repapits malay mo pag nagreview ka at sa review madali mo exam ako nga kumuwa na pero hindi ako susuko para makapasok sa gobyerno may papasukan na ko problema ko nala dapat maipasa ko ang exam hopely makaya ko at kukuwa ako ng lakas ng loob sa Diyos at sasabayan ko ito ng magandang review at paturo sa mga marurunong

opo, highly honored ang CSC at PRC... there's no harm to on trying... just manage ur time to review... make the months count. gather and use all advices you earned here..

po sir maraming salamat po sa advise nakwento ko nga kay gf na may nagreply sa post ko pero kaw ang talagang mahusay sabi nga nya ang galing muna man daw kasi kami po dalawa kukuwa ng exam. Today kami mag file ng application form sa CS. Ay sir question pa po kasi po graduate po ako ng 4yr course sa bulacan state university major in electrical technology so may exam. Din po kami na Master Electrician sa PRC din daw po yun palagay nyo po sir honor po kaya yun if mag aaply po ko sa DOLE

po sir maraming salamat po sa advise nakwento ko nga kay gf na may nagreply sa post ko pero kaw ang talagang mahusay sabi nga nya ang galing muna man daw kasi kami po dalawa kukuwa ng exam. Today kami mag file ng application form sa CS. Ay sir question pa po kasi po graduate po ako ng 4yr course sa bulacan state university major in electrical technology so may exam. all government positions needs a Civil Service Eligibility (CSE) - here i will differentiate CSE Pro and Sub-Pro for added info

If you have CSE - Professional level
--> requirement for entry and permanent hiring by law

you may ask, how about CSE Sub-Prof?
--> its for government employment entry alone, not for permanent hiring... unless you're granted a special recommendation from your boss for full-time position or other by high ranking officials. (remember this exam is for college undergrad and HS grads)

how about PRC exams?
--> may or may not required/prefer by private companies for employment, it's up to them... not an entry requirement for government employment

to be sure, you needs these things... get PRC license and CS Eligibility. hindi ito nasasayang kasi bawat eligibility (PRC, CSC, some TESDA) have big points for employment evaluation/grades.

any companies, govt or private, the more exams, eligibilities, seminars, experiences, degrees, post-grad, achievements you have or earned gives you more credit/ preference to be hired. i know this because i used to work as HR staff.

some PRC exams purpose:
--> one of the main reasons for this is measurement in compentency of each school.
--> ppl may ask, how does it affects it's graduate students? if ur school is recognized to be competent... and u have this license... you are highly valued or classified for hiring.. if your school's graduates fail the PRC quota consecutively then PRC will take immediate actions that the course license will be revoke. kaya nakikita natin maraming schools na ang nagsara ng Nursing programs who offers this course under the standards of teaching.
--> not all courses have PRC exams because some of them may be complicated, ever changing, every year it has new technology, etc... so they go for S.O. or Special Order....
--> again, it may or may not be required/prefer by the company (private or govt)

CSC exams
--> specifically for employment entry for certain goverment position...
--> Sub-Pro: for entry, not for regularization
--> Pro: for entry, and for regularization/permanent position
--> why so many ppl are attacted to apply for the gov't? simple reasons, it's very stable not like other private companies na nagsasara. average pay pero the benefits is gud and lifetime.

security of tenure ang primary reason kaya marami ang gustong magwork sa government sector kahit di kasing laki ng sweldo sa private. mas madali kasing maging regular kapag passer ng prof sa csc.

kung for a permanent position naman ang ina-applyan mo in a private company or gov't, at maganda records mo and they need a person for that position... they will regularized you. it must be followed kasi nasa law iyon... pero sometimes not strictly followed (by some private company)... i know some people na 2-3 contracts (5 months each) pa bago na-regularized. kasi me loop-hole sa regulariztion depende sa need ng companies.. most companies new this...

ang hint for a strict 5 month job is to ask your employer or search if this is project-base or not... project base can be 5 months to a few years - depending how many times you're renewed.

try mo ung kay BUSTO, CSC Reviewer, National Bookstore.. pero take time to search for names/people in the government like chief justice, secretary in each department, list of senators, senate president... etc.
