Project Ara is the codename for an initiative by Google that aims to develop a free, open hardware platform for creating highly modular smartphones. The platform will include a structural frame that holds smartphone modules of the owner's choice, such as a display, keyboard or an extra battery. It would allow users to swap out malfunctioning modules or upgrade individual modules as innovations emerge, providing longer lifetime cycles for the handset, and potentially reducing electronic waste.[1][2]

The project was originally spearheaded by the Advanced Technologies And Projects team within Motorola Mobility, then a subsidiary of Google. Although Google is selling Motorola to Lenovo, it is retaining the team, who will work under the direction of the Android division.[3]

Isipin nyo after ilang years lang ng R&D dito saka introduction sa market, yung mga gusto nyong hardware specs sa smartphone eh makukuha nyo na..

Astig!

Hehe

ok lng yn, di nmn tu magsosolder by parts, plug & latch nmn yn, wag lng bulky tingnan.

Ok to sir.... Maganda yan...

:beat:

!
Can't wait para sa iba pang lalabas na modules, imagine kung mag lalabas ng battery modules ang eveready or motolite! haha!

UPDATE:

aside from Project ARA, may isa pang lalabas na modular gadget.

Click- ARM(Advanced Removable Modules ) yung name nya by ImasD.

(reference : http://liliputing.com/2015/03/click-arm-one-is-a-modular-tablet-limited-edition.html)

mukang promising ang isang to, kaso onti lang yung modules na pwedeng palitan, ang sabi sa post this summer yung release date nya. pero 1000 units palang muna yung ibebenta nila, mangangapa pa din siguro to sa market ng modular gadgets.

well, excited ako sa mga gadgets na lalabas this year at next year, sana maging successfull sila, lalo na yung Project ARA.

pwede nyong panuorin yung dito : www.yezzara.com
