*Yung alt+F2 in elementary OS walang lalabas na run dialog?Just use the terminal but only add " & exit" after the command so that yung terminal mo will close ater executing the command.Or install "gmrun" and add some key shortcut for that..

Make it "gksudo" when opening GUI-based apps via Terminal, kasi delikado pag "sudo" ang ginagamit na pang-root ng GUI-based app.

naaalala ko pa nung active talaga si punkz prez dito sa symb... siya talaga ang isa sa mga nag influence sa akin na mag linux at mag test ng ubuntu... binibigyan niya rin ako ng advice sa puso nun sa tambayan.. hehe...



mawawala lang ang antok kapag makatulog ka punkz.. hehe..



oo punkz.. yung command line ang ginamit ko sa pag install... tapos tinest ko gamitin yung mga deb files na galing din sa dropbox site at nakita ko na ang pareho sayong installation... pero sa lubuntu-vm ko ito ginawa ang pagtest ng deb file ng dropbox...

pwede ko rin gawin yang tut mo punkz... pero ask ko lang, me paraan ba para ma uninstall ko ang ginawa ko installation ng dropbox ko sa lubuntu machine ko..? tapos mag iinstall na lang ko ulet ng dropbox na gamit ang deb file..? mas madali siguro kapag ganyan eh..

nga pala, gamit ko ngayon ang openbox session sa lubuntu-vm ko.. debian din pala ito punkz..? me shortcut ba para sa run dialog box dito..? halos lahat kasi ng mga open apps ko dito ngayon (lxpanel, pcmanfm, lxtask, at firefox) sa terminal ko lahat inopen kaya andami kong open tab sa lxterminal.. haha..

me gamit din akong openvpn dito ngayon na hindi related sa fbt natin.. for anonymity at security purposes lang talaga...

nangangapa pa lang ako pero nasisiyahan naman sa mga nadidiskubre ko sa linux...

Remove dropbox
---sudo apt-get remove dropbox
then install your dropbox deb file
then run dropbox from your menu to complete the installation

openbox:
--copy the /etc/xdg/openbox folder then paste it into your /home/<user>/.config folder
-----inside that new transfered folder merong 3 files(autostart, menu.xml, rc.xml)..
-------dyan ka mag configure....
---------yung rc.xml is for keyboard shortcut

hindi po kase nag oopen ang facebook to any browser ang connection ko is Wifi at na try ko na din i-edit yung 8.8.8.8,8.8.1.1 ba yun. Pero wala pa din

Sana po mahelp nyo ako tell me lang po kung hindi nyo alam salamat!

I really don't know Sir but you're not the only one experiencing that problem. Saw on another thread na he can't open FB then.. he's using Windows.

Di kaya sa ISP mo talaga yung may conflict? I've had some issues na ganun dati din though not on Facebook. Turns out it was an ISP problem and naging ok naman after a month, so I guess they were able to fix it.

Did you try it on another ISP? Same pa rin ba?

salamat dito punkz... timing at yan ang prob ng openbox ko dito sa pc ko... walang debian menu samantalang ang lubuntu sa vmware ko sa office station ko meron... bakit kaya..?

sorry punkz... no idea din ako sa cyclone linux... pero ry mo rin gumamit ng vpn or proxy website para mag open ng facebook... na try mo rin ba mag browse sa ibang websites... test mo muna... mga dns ng google ang 8.8.8.8 at 8.8.4.4... kung natest mo na yan at wala talaga, baka meron pang ibang prob at hindi at linux mo...

Sir, magtatanong lang po. madalas po kasi mangyari to sa mga computers namin dito sa office, may napipindot po silang certain keys (not sure if it's only one key or combination of keys) tapos magiging high contrast ang display nila. ang madalas kong sinasabi sa kanila, i-restart lang ang pc at bumabalik naman sa tamang display. ang problema, wala akong maisagot kung ano ang cause nito at kung ano pwedeng gawin wiyhout restarting their pc's. ubuntu 8.04 nga po pala gamit namin dito sa office. thanks po in advance sa reply!

I think meron. Pero yung suggestion ko ay hindi kailangang gumamit ng keylogger...search na lang sa Google for the keylogger.

Upgrade mo nalang yung software mo i think wala ng support yung 8.04 LTS ngayon. Parang 5 years lang yung support for security, bugs etc...
