[ADVISE] Help in Assembling/Building/Choosing/Upgrading Your Computer

Hi guys,

I started this thread to help everyone wanting a new computer. All you need to do is post the following:

usage:

other miscellaneous requirements:

*If to be used for gaming,. please indicate the games you wish to play.

The prices i will be using are those that come from major shops in gilmore and also PCexpress and others... The prices will only reflect that of which on the date of my post.

also please put your requests in this format:

please indicate (at least)the size of the hard disk desired, and also what you need/have/prefer.

How to get to Gilmore:
commuting... From EDSA get on the MRT to Cubao and take the other train and get off at Gilmore station. so easy.
driving... Via aurora is the easiest way from EDSA. anyway, just ask na lang cos i dunno where you'll be coming from.

An example post would be as follows:

Hi. Please help me buy a computer for my son. He will be using it mainly for school and some games. He likes to play Dota and L4D. Our budget for the PC would be 20K. We already have a printer, monitor and speakers. Our monitor is a 17" CRT monitor. My son said he prefers 1gb video card.

medyo ndelay plano ko bumili ng rig, tanong ko lang po if there would be any changes for this rig setup na bngay skin ni sir janz before. i think early month of june ko pa to nkuha eh. and question ndin po, ano difference nung H61M-HVS sa U3S3 na mobo? and kaya po ba ng vp450 if i have plans on upgrading the vcard to hd 7850?

Price drop lang siguro pero not much of a change sa build. Kaya naman ng Antec VP450 yan without any problem pero you might want more headroom.

ASRock H61M/U3S3 may USB 3.0, good mobo kung wala kang plano mag upgrade for the next 2-3 years lalo na kung by that time saturated na ang USB 3.0 ready ka na agad.

ang RAM ay tumutulong lng para pabilisin ang system and process mo.. it does not affect your graphics although kumukha sya ng memory para iprocess ang apps, video or games na nirurun mo.. an 8GB ram will maximize the performance of your whole rig when it comes of multi tasking.

Para sa mas madaling interpretation. example ang game na nakaopen ay kumakain ng approximately 3GB RAM below.. and meron ka pang nakaopen na ibang applications sa background mas maganda na merong allowance db para nde bumigay ung system mo

mga master , ano a po ba mga shop sa gilmore na may discount kpag tpc member ? maliban sa gilmore wala daw po kasi sila stock nung item na kukunin ko sana , thanks in advance

Aside from sa sinabi ni youwish_ian, sinagad ko lang yung budget dahil wala naman ibang paglalagyan kundi sa RAM. Wala naman masama kung 8GB yan :P

Sa totoo lang kung plano mo lang din mag lga 2011 na setup bilhin mo nalang kung ano yung afford mo na mobo hehe. Lahat yan ay sobra na sa average user.

Orayt thanks sa response sir ian , rerekta ako sa eton kpag di ok dito sa pc.reform , mas mahal lng price nila ng 50 pesos pero malapit lng samin , ijust hope they have good costumer service , tinatanung ko pa ung warranty terms nila , kapag alanganin pcmiles nlng hehe
